COVID vaccination for 18 to 45 years has begun in India. As you may know, the registration and appointment are online through the government’s CoWIN portal and the Aarogya Setu and Umang apps. If like me, you are also trying to book a slot for COVID vaccine dose via these platforms, you would know how hard it is. Due to the shortage of vaccine stocks in many regions across India, there are limited slots available. What’s worse? The government portals don’t come with an option to notify you when the COVID vaccination slots are available. Thankfully, there are several third-party apps/ websites that will keep track of the vaccine availability around you so that you don’t have to check the CoWIN as well as the Aarogya Setu and Umang app every now and then. The tools send alerts to users when a COVID vaccination slot is available in a center near them. Here’s a quick look at some of these apps/ websites and how to use them to check the availability of vaccine slots online.
Paytm
Digital wallet and UPI payment app Paytm has added the COVID19 vaccine slot finder tool on its platform. This will allow users to find available slots for COVID-19 vaccines in the centers around them. The tool is available on the Paytm app for both Android and iOS devices.If you want to use this tool just follow the steps mentioned below:
- Open the Paytm app on your Mobile
- Scroll down to the Mini App Store/ Discover with Paytm section
- You will see the Vaccine Finder option. Alternatively, Android users can tap on ‘All’ –> followed by the COVID-19 Vaccination Appointment banner
- Enter your Pincode/ district and choose between 18+ and 45+ age groups
- Select on Check Availability to proceed
- All available slots details will appear on your screen
- If there are no available slots, you can click on ‘notify me when slots are available’ option to get alerts for open slots
Under45.in
Another website is Under45.in to get alerts of vaccination slots availability in centers around you. You will get Vaccine alerts in your Telegram inbox. To use Under45.in for vaccination slots, you need to:
- Open https://under45.in/ website.
- Choose State and District
- Select the Telegram notification option that will appear on the screen
- A page will open with the ‘Join Channel’ option
- Click on join channel.
- Enter your Telegram mobile number and verify.
- Users will then be redirected to a channel that will be specific to their district. Join it to see the detailed slot availability data like which center has available slots, the number of slots available, and the availability date, and other things
GetJab.in
If you don't have Telegram, don't worry you can use GetJab.in. This website sends alerts of COVID vaccine slots availability details to your email ID. Like Under45.in, you will have to sign-up to get notification of a vaccine slot near you via mail.
- To get alerts, visit GetJab.in
- Enter your name, district, email, and mobile number (optional).
- Choose ‘Get Notified’
After filling in all the details, you will receive a notification on your email ID when a vaccination slot for 18+ is open on the Cowin website. Soon alert through SMS service will also be added to the website.
BasicFloat.com
Another COVID vaccine slot notifier website you can rely on. BasicFloat.com sends notifications about the availability of slots to your registered mobile number. Here’s how to use the portal:
- Open https://cowin.basicfloat.com/
- Select your district or Pincode
- Enter your name and mobile number
- Choose ‘Submit’ to proceed
That’s it, you will now receive alerts when a vaccination slot is available at a nearby center.
